Report by no.15 - Jed Selves
East Dorset Dockers U13 secured a hard fought 5-5 draw with Wimborne RFC at home in front of a 70 strong crowd. With Wimborne scoring 3 tries in the first half by a rapid No15, Dockers were playing better rugby and backed this up with William Leadbitter scoring on debut to go into halftime 3-1 down.
The lads were fired up at halftime knowing they were still in the game. Dockers started the 2nd half strongly with another well worked try scored by William Leadbitter, with Jed Selves also scoring 2 tries to level the scores at 4-4. With Wimborne taking the lead again our captain Cadders stepped up and scored a wonderful forwards try to level it again.

Despite both teams best efforts neither could get the winning try. Bradley ran hard with ball in hand into contact to secure some good forward control which enabled our flyers in the backs to score some awesome tries. It was a great team performance and everyone worked so hard throughout the game, putting what we have been working on in training into a match situation.
Jed Selves was given man of the match by Wimborne and Dockers awarded Wimborne's Thomas man of the match.
It was amazing to see everyone having a great time in the clubhouse after the game, the post match Spag bol was delicious, I think players were going back for seconds.
Thanks to Wimborne for a great game of rugby.
