YOUTH TEAMS
Mini and Youth rugby is thriving at Iford Lane. We’re here to introduce children to the game, support and develop them through the age groups, and make sure everyone has fun.
FUTURE DOCKERS
We proudly uphold the RFU’s foundational principles of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and Sportsmanship. These values guide everything we do, from how we train to how we cheer from the sidelines. Good people make good rugby players.
Our goal? To help shape confident, community-minded young people. Kids who carry the spirit of rugby and sportsmanship into other areas of school, family, and social life. Rugby (all team sports in fact) provides an ever-present opportunity to develop character.

OUR SUPPORT
Every coach on our team is qualified, DBS-checked, and dedicated to your child’s wellbeing and rugby development. We also warmly welcome parents to get involved! Our young Dockers need assistant coaches, touchline supporters, team managers, and someone to heat up the hot dogs.
We believe in lowering barriers to entry. That’s why rugby is completely free for the youngest two age groups. As players grow and progress, we introduce tiered playing fees, reflecting increasing costs while keeping the game accessible and fair for everyone.

AGE GRADE RUGBY
At East Dorset Dockers RFC, we’re proud to provide a safe, fun, and inclusive pathway into rugby for children of all ages.
To help parents and players understand how the game develops as children grow, the RFU (Rugby Football Union) provides clear guidance on Age Grade Rugby, from non-contact minis to the introduction of tackling and beyond.
