OUR GROUNDS
Iford Playing Fields is the home of East Dorset Dockers RFC and a hub for our local community. From rugby matches to family walks, this green space is open to everyone and cherished by all who visit.
– IFORD PLAYING FIELDS –
Our club has called Iford Playing Fields home since 1990. But we’re more than just tenants, we see ourselves as custodians of this special space.
In partnership with BCP Council and Fields in Trust, and alongside groups such as Bournemouth BMX Club and the Sea Cadets, we’re proud to protect, maintain and celebrate the fields for everyone who enjoys them.

FIELD CUSTODIANS

COMMUNITY SPACE
Iford Playing Fields is more than just where we play rugby; it’s the heart of our community. Whether you’re walking your dog, kicking a ball with friends, or enjoying the beauty of the River Stour, these fields are open to all, and always will be.
We’re not here to build stadiums, put up fences, or profit. We’re here to play the game we love in harmony with the community around us. Plans for a new clubhouse, a space for everyone to enjoy, are on the horizon, and we look forward to sharing more soon.

“This is your green space, your recreational fields, and your grassroots community rugby club.”
